Previous Occupation(s): I have launched several small businesses, in industries from marketing to technology. I directed aviation marketing/sales across the East Asia region during the Asian financial crisis, and worked with the World Bank in public and private sector development. As a CPA, I also know how to balance a budget.

Organizational Affiliations: Hope for New York, City to City, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Priority Associates, Hole in the Wall Gang Camps

Prior Public Experience: In Washington, DC I worked with Capitol Hill and the Department of Commerce. I also worked with the Minister of Minerals & Energy in State Parliament in Sydney, Australia.

1. What is the most important issue in Council District 05 you would address if elected?

Ending the Waste Transfer Station at 91st Street and the East River will be my first order of business.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

The 2nd Avenue Subway is a perfect example of a project that, while ultimately good, has been a nightmare for the people who live and businesses that operate there. This needs to stop. We need to make sure the Upper East Side/Roosevelt Island are and remain the most attractive places in the city to live.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

1) Extensive public and private sector experience; 2) my proven steady hand and voice of reason in the midst of indecision and crisis; 3) my passion/energy to fight tirelessly for our neighborhoods; 4) none of the political baggage that so many NY incumbents seem to acquire.
