Candidate Statement

My name is Blake Morris, a real Democrat and a practicing attorney for 30 years. I am running to be your State Senator because I am fed up with our current Senator, Simcha Felder. He SINGLE-HANDEDLY stopped safety cameras that protected our school children.

He fought AGAINST universal healthcare and AGAINST a woman’s right to choose. He was elected as a Democrat then handed the whole Senate to Republicans for HIS benefit, with no thought to his constituents in the district.

Your vote can flip the State Senate to democratic control and secure universal healthcare, affordable housing/tenants rights, $15/hr minimum wage now, rapid transit improvements and better funded schools.
I have long fought government corruption by reducing the density of the Atlantic Yards project and obtaining a court order to inspect previously secret Republican controlled Senate expenditures.

Please vote for me, Blake Morris, on Thursday, September 13th in the Democratic Primary. Thank you.
