Independent Expenditures Filing Deadlines
2021 Citywide Elections
All independent spenders must file disclosure statements with the CFB once their spending reaches a certain threshold.
For more information on this threshold, please consult the Independent Spender Guide.
No statement is required if there is no reportable activity during a disclosure period.
A “daily disclosure” statement is due within 24 hours of engaging in reportable activity during the two weeks before the primary and general elections.
Due to recent New York City Charter and legislative amendments, 2021 filing deadlines are still being determined and will be posted at a later date.
|Statement Number||Due Date||Disclosure Periods|
|1||January 15, 2021||January 13, 2018 – January 11, 2021|
If a runoff election occurs, daily disclosure is required for the two weeks before the runoff, and a disclosure statement is due 10 days after the runoff.
Please note that the election year calendar is subject to change.
